Information That May Arrive
Different features create different kinds of information.
- A search query entered into a third-party search box is sent to that provider under its own terms and privacy notice.
- A message or address sent through a contact channel may be retained so a reply or record of the exchange can be handled.
- Normal technical data may include an IP address, browser type, device details, referring page, time of access, and basic error information.
- Cookies or similar storage may remember settings, measure use, or support advertising and analytics.
Do not send sensitive personal information through an ordinary message unless the receiving office specifically requests it through a secure channel.
How Information Is Used
Information may be used to provide pages and links, operate the search interface, answer a message, prevent misuse, understand traffic, improve performance, measure referrals, and maintain security. Search partners may process a query directly. Charlton County Busted Mugshots does not control a partner's retention, pricing, results, or data practices.
Technical logs can help diagnose a broken link or abusive request. Aggregated statistics may be used to understand which county records topics are useful. The service does not promise that an outside provider will keep, correct, or delete information on the same schedule.
Cookies and Similar Tools
Cookies may be used for essential operation, preferences, analytics, advertising, or referral measurement. A browser can often block or delete cookies, although some features may work differently afterward. Third-party providers may set their own cookies or similar identifiers. Their notices control those practices.
Links and Service Providers
The pages link to the Charlton County Sheriff's Office, the Charlton County Jail directory, city offices, the Charlton clerk, and the Georgia Department of Corrections offender search. Sheriff Robert Phillips's office and each outside provider control their own terms and privacy policy. A visit to an outside site is governed by that site's terms and privacy policy. The outside office may collect information directly when a request or search is submitted.
Information may be received by search partners, analytics providers, advertising networks, hosting or security vendors, and service providers that help operate the pages. It may also be disclosed to law enforcement or another authority when required by a valid legal order or necessary to address a serious security or safety concern.
Security and Retention
Reasonable safeguards are used for information under the service's control, but no transmission or storage system is guaranteed secure. Data may be kept for as long as needed for the purpose collected, legal duties, dispute handling, security records, or ordinary business operations. Third-party providers set their own retention periods.
Children and User Choices
The service is not directed to children under 18. A parent or guardian who believes a minor supplied information may use the Contact Us route to ask about it.
Depending on applicable law, a person may ask what personal information is held, request correction, seek deletion, object to a use, withdraw consent where consent is the basis, or ask for a copy. Identity may need to be verified, and a request may be limited by legal exceptions, another person's rights, security needs, or the use of a third-party provider. Contact requests should identify the information and the action sought without sending unnecessary sensitive data.
Updates to This Notice
This Privacy Notice may change when the service, providers, law, or data practices change. The revised version takes effect when posted. Continued use after an update indicates that the revised notice has been read to the extent allowed by law.
